Sudafed extra strength cough and cold is the only medication that gets me through my yearly bouts of colds and congestion. It never fails, each change of season I get a cold - and it begins in my head and travels to my chest. I get over it in about a week but this is the only cold medication that I am loyal to.

It cures everything from stuffy noses to sinus headaches. It is one of the more expensive cold medicines, and comes in the pack of twelve for almost ten dollars - but it is worth the good night's sleep that you are often unable to have with a cold.

It begins to work within minutes and stays effective for me until late in the morning if I take it before bed. Through the day I tend to fight the cold with vitamin c, and other supplements, but the night is bad - it's necessary to have pharmaceutical intervention, and this is my medication of choice.

I wouldn't live with any other cold medication - by far the most effective I have used. No side effects whatsoever, drowsiness, NOTHING! I love this cold medicine.
