Normally I love Kirkland products, so I didn't think twice before purchasing this laundry detergent. The first thing I noticed when I got home was the consistency of the powder, it was much more granular than my regular detergent (Tide) I really liked the scent, nice and fresh. I wash most of my clothes in cold water. The biggest issue I have with this detergent is it doens't dissolve well, in fact in cold water it doesn't dissolve at all. It left a white granular residue which was very noticable on my dark clothes. In an attempt to resolve this I began dissolving the soap in hot water first, before switching the washer to cold. This worked slightly better, but there was still a small amount of residue on the dark clothes (and the light clothes too, we just couldn't see it) I then added an extra rinse which solved the problem.

does not dissolve well
does not rinse fully out of clothes unless you do an extra rinse
Verdict:
I ws very disappointed with this laundry detergent. I will not purchase it again and I certainly do not recommend it to anyone else. The one benefit is I was able to return it to costco for a refund.

I agree with you. I tried this several years ago. Actually, my husband bought a huge container of it one day and I expected it to be good as well but I did not like it. I had the same problems that you had.
