Eye Clops Bionic Eye By Lindy Smith By Lindy Smith on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
When my mother in law came to visit us this year, they brought the EyeClops Bionic Eye with them. This interesting toy attaches to the A/V inputs on any television. It has a probe in the shape of a huge eyeball that magnifies anything you put in front of it. My nephew is four years old and loves using this toy. My daughters are four and eight and had so much fun looking at everything from hair from our dog, to hair from their heads. They were able to look at the fibers in our carpet and even examined Grandpa's skin. You can clearly see skin and pores in the skin. Fingernails can be examined to see cuticles and deformations. It's a great way to teach children about the makeup of various things found in nature and in the household. If you've ever been curious about getting a closer look at the world around you, the EyeClops is a fun alternative to a microscope.
