G'day Friends, This is an Aussie review for ya. When I moved downunder one of the first pressies my hubby got for my son was this hat. It is an Akubra with a croc band. He was over the moon. He wears it all the time. You see the sun it really strong here and we are advised to wear a hat most of the time. So the next time you watch "The Man From Snowy River", just know the hat was not just to make him look sexy.It is the US version of a Stetson.It is made of fur and felt,and the inside has a strip on leather for sweat absorption. His hat also came with a spacer band to make it fit properly,and allowing for growth.It is a kahki color and goes well with jeans.He really loves his 'kubra. We have a slang here-fair dinkum-which means, are you telling the truth, and Akubras are Fair Dinkum Aussie. Cheers :)

I have friends in Australia, love almost anything to do with the land down under...well, there may be a creepy crawler or two I'm not crazy for but :)...this sounds like a great little hat that does what it's meant to do. Thanks for the info!
