Fairfield Inn; Brookings, SD

I have stayed at this hotel two different times in the past 7 months. This hotel is decent with a fair price.

The first time I stayed here I booked the extended king suite. It had a king bed with a separate living/sitting area. The area was separated from the sleeping area with a privacy wall. It was a good size room, spacious and clean. I only paid $94.00 for this room a night, which I felt was a very good deal

The second time I stayed here I booked the spa room. It had a king size bed and again a separate living/sitting area. The main difference was this room had a Jacuzzi tub, which was a real treat. The price for this room was $120.00 a night, which I felt it was worth the price.

In both rooms there was a mini fridge, microwave and an in room coffee maker.
Both rooms had a very desk and spacious desk area to work in. I was able to lay my work out on the desk without papers falling off the desk. They have high speed internet access, which I never had a problem with.
The beds are comfortable, although slightly more firm then I like, but not bad. The bedding has always seemed fresh and clean when I arrived.
The rooms are quiet and the staff is very friendly. The hotel itself is well maintained. There is an indoor pool with a whirlpool. Both I have used and enjoyed.

The best thing I like about this hotel is the whole hotel is 100 % smoke free. I like not having the halls smell like stale smoke.

There is a complimentary breakfast, they have your standard rolls, toast, juice, coffee but they also service Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. That is a nice treat and a little different from the usual complimentary breakfast at hotels.

I also like that this hotel is located about a mile or so from some quick places to have a bite to eat.

I would recommend this hotel to business travelers and even travelers just passing through Brookings. It is a great hotel with a great price.
