Fantastic, warm winter boot UGG Knockoff
By Tanya Pecora onI had been searching for inexpensive, warm winter boots for years. My old boots were toast, and while I don't mind spending about $100 on a good pair of boots, I was having a hard time finding something for that price. Many were over $200, Too expensive for me!
Let me preface this by saying I hate the look of UGGS boots. I may be in the minority, but I think they are butt ugly. I cannot imagine spending upwards of $200 on a pair! That being said, when I saw that Kirkland (Costco) had a line of imitation uggs, priced at only $39.99 I was intrigued. I had heard that although they are ugly, they are warm and comfy. Let me tell you they are! When I brought them home I sprayed them twice with a Tana leather protector and they have been totally waterproof. They are also the warmest, most comfortable boots I have ever owned! I wear them to walk to and from school with the kids every day and my feet stay warm and dry. I also haven't had any issues with salt stains yet either!
PROS:
price - only $39.99
Materials, genuine sheep shearling that is super thick and cozy
3 colour choices, cream, beige and chocolate brown
super comfortable
CONS:
tread pattern, this boot does not have great traction on ice. That is the only negative that I can come up with.
Oh and the look, sorry but as I have said before, these boots are ugly!
Verdict:
I love my UGly boots. Even though they look hideous, they keep my feet cozy warm and dry, a necessity in the snowbelt here in Ontario where the temperature regularily drops to -30! I highly recommend these imitation UGGS, and will likely pick up a second pair in beige when Costco brings them out again!

Indeed intriguing!
