Far Flung Adventures Of Fergus Crane By msculit on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I earlier reviewed a book under the Far Flung Adventure Series and this is another one of that. It is written by Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell.

The story is about a young boy named Fergus Crane. His adventures take him to the Emerald Sea, Peril Deep Underground, and other interesting places where he faces many challenges and thrills as he attempts to rescue his school friends from a villain. He also is keen to know more scoop about his father which his mother is reluctant to share. Then comes a weird winged box perched on his window bearing letters and note to him saying "you are in danger."

The book is well acclaimed and has won the Smarties Prize Gold Award. It is intended for young intermediate readers around 9 to 12. It has illustrations in most of the pages making the read quite interesting as one's imagination is stirred. It can be categorized under fantasy and adventure.

The book I bought is paperback and printed on newsprint with big fonts. It has approximately 230 pages full of exciting adventures of Fergus.

I do recommend this to young readers because it is exciting and fun to read. My daughter just loves the Edge book series.
