Farberware Cookware Is Just So-So

Purchased at: E Bay     Price: $20.00 USD

A couple years ago I bought a few pieces of Farberware Acccents Cookware. At first, this cookware seemed like a great product. But, after a couple years of use my feelings have changed completely.

Farberware Accents Cookware does have some good features. First of all, it can be transfered to the oven up to 350 degrees. This comes in handy when cooking a thick piece of meat. This cookware is also affordable and the nonstick coating works pretty well.

Unfortunately, after a couple years use, I have found that this cookware has warped. The nonstick coating is also starting to come off. Other negative features include the pieces being very light and having uneven heat distribution.

This is a fairly decent set of cookware if you've just moved out on your own, but I can't recommend it to people who love to cook three meals a day.

This sounds crazy, but do you place the hot cookware in water? I have heard that cookware will warp if placed in a cold sink when still hot. It is a common mistake by many people.

Wonderful question. I always allow my cookware to cool on the stove top before placing it in the sink.

Yes always allow things to cool down before placing them in the sink. Sounds like a good starter set for a first apartment.
