Farberware Dutch Oven By J Montano on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I really enjoy cooking and I really like this Farberware Dutch Oven. I use it all the time!

This pot is a large, 15 quart dutch oven. It is a stainless steel pan, inside and out. The lid is the same stainless steel with a black bakelite top and handles.

I find myself using this pot quite often. It is great for chili, soups, stews and much more. Any time I need to make a big "batch" of something, this is my go to pot. I have other pots that are non-stick, but I find that I prefer this stainless steel much better. For one thing, it is just as easy to clean as non-stick. Also, I can turn the heat up as high as I want on this pan. I cannot do that with my non-stick brands. This is a big plus when you have to boil something quickly or are cooking something that requires high heat. I like the way it heats up quickly and evenly. I also like that I can use metal utensils while cooking in this dutch oven. Another thing that I can't do in my non-stick.

I think the weight of the pan could be a little bit heavier. I, for some reason, equate the weight of a pan to it's quality. I think that is the only thing I would change on this pan.
