Farberware Stainless Steel Cookware By tinkerbell on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Almost 20 years ago, my mother bought me my first set of Farberware Stainless Steel Cookware. The saucepan shown in the photo above is from that original set, which I am still using it to this day, almost every day. I love Farberware!

It might not have a non-stick surface, since it is all stainless steel, but I feel good knowing I do not have to treat Farberware with kid gloves, like I do with coated, non-stick surfaces. I can also use a steel wool pad for those tougher problems, without worry.

The only minor issue I have had is that over the course of twenty years, there might be occasion to tighten the pot handles, which is easily done with a screwdriver.

I have never had any major heating issues with cooking when using my Farberware. It seems to get the job done.

I use the saucepan for pasta, pasta sauce, stews, and many other things. For pancakes, I pull out my trusty Farberware frying pan. When I make my Sicilian One-Pot, I rely on my big old soup and stew pot, which is the largest Farberware pot in my collection.

My mom sure knew what she was doing when she bought this set. I highly recommend Farberware Cookware! Oh, if only we could age as well as our Farberware!
