Fat Free And Fatal By G.A. Mc Kevett By Karen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

G. A. McKevett has written a mystery series centered around the character of Savannah Reid.

Savannah is a southern gal who happens to be a private investigator, operating out of California. Her job in this novel is to act as bodyguard to actress Dona Papalardo. Dona's assistant has been murdered in the driveway of Dona's mansion, and it is feared that Dona herself was the intended victim. So Savannah is hired to protect Dona and keep her safe, not an easy task when Savannah doesn't know who she is protecting Dona from.

Fat Free and Fatal was a novel that I thoroughly enjoyed. The character of Savannah Reid is tough, sassy, and very good at her job. There is also a love interest for Savannah in the character of Sergeant Dirk Coulter, who, in this novel, is trying to quit smoking and gives the reader a few laughs with his attempts to kick the habit.

I have read several of the Savannah Reid Mysteries and enjoyed them all. Fat Free and Fatal was an interesting and fun read, and I look forward to indulging in even more novels from this series.
