Faux Princess Cut Diamond Earrings By poshpost on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Oh I would love to have a pair of diamond earrings! It is a dream. I never got to afford a pair while I was still single, so now that I have a lovely daughter, I don't know how much soon I can afford one.

Anyway, in my desire to wear something that resembles a diamond earrings, I went to Gaea Crafts, a silver jewelry store. I got myself a pair of Princess Cut Cubic Zirconia Earrings that look like a couple of 1 carat diamond earrings. I loved it! I like their craftsmanship. And the stones look precious enough. I felt good wearing them.

However, I believe 92.5 Sterling Silver is not that hard enough to hold the setting for big stones. So it did not last long. I think it stayed with me 6 months before the lock that held the stones in place chipped off and so I had no choice but to discard them. For what it is worth, I believe it was worth it. While real diamond earrings may last a lifetime for its price, mine lasted for a fraction of a lifetime, after all, it is really cheap.

But for its price, I could have bought still cheaper faux diamond earrings that could cost a quarter of what I got from Gaea Crafts. They have better craftsmanship though.
