I love to place accent lights throughout my home because I think they add to the ambience, and help to create a very cozy feel, in addition to regular lamps. This particular lamp is in my bedroom. My bedroom is decorated primarily in burgundy, rose, and blue. One of the accent pieces I have is a burgundy afghan throw with a burgundy feather trim.

When I found this small lamp in burgundy, with a feather trim, I knew it was a perfect match. It's about 18 inches tall, and has a sparkly light gold base, with pineapple design accents. The shade is the type that actually fits over the bulb. The bulb it requires is a night light-type bulb, or a Christmas candelabra-type bulb. I like to use a red Christmas bulb for the warm lighting it provides.

The only complaint I have about the lamp, is that because the shade goes over the bulb on the lamp, it often ends up looking crooked. The shade often tilts, instead of staying where it should. That's a little aggravating because it happens fairly frequently. But other than that, it's a great little lamp, with a lot of character (because of the feathers.)
