Feel The Fury By k0b3x on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
When my family moved houses a few years ago we needed to buy a new water heater. We decided to go with the Fury model from Rheem. Rheem is supposedly the number one brand for water heaters. The Fury model is a 75gal capacity water heater and coming from a family of four, I can say that this is more than enough because we have never run out of hot water. This heater is pretty efficient, as it is estimated to costs just around $180 dollars to run a year. My home just underwent remodeling and the heater had to be turned off. I had to relight the heater and I can say that it is a slightly difficult task. You need to have a long lighter in hand as matches will not do the job. However, after the heater is lit, hot water is running in a matter of minutes (about 20-30 min). All in all, our Rheem Fury heater has given us no problems and does the job day in and day out so Rheem is definitely recommended.
Rheem Fury Purchased at: Lowes Price: 1000

The appliance we never think about until it goes out! Good job.
Thanks for the info as I may be looking for a new water heater soon.
Love your title! I don't forsee a new waterheater in my future, but if I do, i will check out this brand.
We've had our Rheem for over 12 years & it still runs as good as new!!!
Glad it works well, just hope that pilot light doesn't go out too often!
Sounds like a dependable, reliable water heater. Where I live $1000 is considered a good price for a water heater. A friend of mine had her heater blow up in the basement, really frightened them, they were quoted $5000 for a water heater only guaranteed to last five years. They've been shopping around.
