Fender Fm 65 Frontman Combo Amp By Tony on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Fender FM 65 Frontman Combo Amplifier is a solid state amplifier with one 12 inch speaker and 65 watts. It is black in color and has built in effects for the guitar.

I purcahsed this amp because my normal amp is much too heavy to haul around. I figured I'd get a solid state amp that I can easily haul with me whenever I want and to have a backup amp around.

The amp certainly is loud enough and it is nice to have the option of the built in effects. I am not impressed witht he sound quality of the amp though.

To me the tone the amp produces is way too this and trebiley. Even with the treble turned all the way down and bass up, it is still not to my liking. The amp seems to be built solid and I haven't had any problems with it so far.

If I were to do it over again, I would opt for the Fender Blues Junior. A small tube amp blows this amp out of the water in tone.
