Fenton Green Depression Glass Swan Dish By elkper on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
This beautiful swan dish was made by Fenton in 1938. It is made out of green vaseline glass which means that it glows under a black light. I think this dish is fabulous. It has a lot of detail and is interesting to look at in many different angles. You can purchase it on E-Bay for about $40. It is very rare to find it in mint condition, so I highly recommend purchasing this dish if you find it. It makes a great addition to any collection of Fenton, vaseline glass, depression glass, or swans. There is a lot of detail in the swans, down to individual feathers. The dish is about 6 inches from the tip of each swans head by about 8 inches in the other direction. I like to leave my dish empty so you can see the detail in the swans, but I suppose you could use it as a candy dish.

That is beautiful, I really love the color. And the fact it glows ;)
Nice info... good to get an idea of what things like that sell for. We toured a bunch of the pottery / glass museums and saw so many pretty things a couple of years ago.
