Ferrara Chocolate Covered Torrone

I love torrone candy! I make gift baskets and if I'm making a chocolate or coffee one ... I like to include this type of fancy chocolate.

Torrone is made from the simplest ingredients: sugar, honey, nuts and egg whites. The combination of these ingredients creates a memorable tasting experience. It is so wonderful! Torrone is a popular winter and Christmas dessert in Italy and many varieties exist.

This partucular bar candy is a Dark Chocolate Covered Ferrara Torrone that is all natural and a product of Italy. It was given to me by a friend.

This is good, fresh candy that is not too sweet and the filling is tasty. Packaging is professionally done and I enjoyed the detailed writing on the reverse face of the box. The gold Ferrara logo embossed in the gold candy tray inside the box was a nice touch.

When I eat this type of gourmet chocolate I love to savor the taste and enjoy the flavors of the candy. I try not to eat it all at once. I love the dark chocolate!
