I deal with daily pain and inflammation due to an injury.

While researching alternative supplements on my favorite site - wholehealthmd.com - I learned about Boswellia. Wholehealthmd.com suggests that consumers look for Boswellia that is standardized to 60% Boswellic acids.

Luckyvitamin.com sells Nature's Way standardized Boswellia, which is standardized to 65% Boswellic acids, so I chose this one.

One of the things that drew me to Boswellia is that outside of some rare and minor side effects, none are reported. I was happy to find that I am not among one of the rare few that suffers from these minor effect, so I was good to go.

Although Boswellia offers a few different relief's, I was seeking relief of pain and inflammation due to back pain and this fit's the bill.

For me, I find that Boswellia is most effective when I am going through a particularly hard time and I take it daily at timed intervals. I do not take this daily on a long term basis as it is suggested to take it no more than 8 weeks in a row without a break.

Generally, however, I take Boswellia occasionally alongside a dose of White Willow Bark. I find that the Boswellia and White Willow Bark combination works very well as an alternative to both OTC (over the counter) and prescription medications that I have taken in the past.

While the combination does not entirely take away my pain on my worst days, it does work in such a way without making me groggy, drowsy, foggy, dizzy, etc as many of the drugs I had taken in the past did. As I found it impossible to deal with feeling so out of it all of the time with other medications I am happy with the relief that I receive from these supplements.
