Finish Factor By Rodney Ray on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I bought these foam brushes to do some final touch up on a major remodeling project. I wasn't really very impressed with the quality or performance of these foam brushes. I was however happy with the assortment of sizes included, had it not been for this I would have never been able to complete what I was doing with these brushes. The foam that they are constructed of is very weak and flimsy causing it to not load well with paint. There is also a plastic " Frame work underneath the foam that has a tendency to scrub and scrap what ever your trying to paint, causing drips and runs and skips in the paint. I can't honestly say if this is an inherent problem of this type of brush or if maybe all of them are the same, as I have had no experience with foam brushes until now. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone, yet I know people that prefer this type of brush. Overall they did see me through the end of the project but not without some amount of mess and quite a bit of really foul language. I for one think brushes should be brushes not sponges with a hard unforgiving center. Not really a bad product but I personally did not like them.
