Fire in the Hole!
By vsimeone onCornhole is still considered somewhat of a regional game but the craze is spreading quickly! The rules and play is so easy that every age and every gender can play together. That's one of the features that makes it such a fantastic summer party game! The game consists of two boards, with a hole in each, that are placed 30 feet apart. Each team of two people alternates throwing 4 corn bags (similar to bean bags) to try to get them through the hole in the board. The team earns points depending upon whether the bag goes through the hole or lands on the board.
We began playing this game in our yard last summer and had inpromtu neighborhood tournaments almost every weekend! In our community, there are also several places to play organized tournaments for prizes but we really enjoy just playing with neighbors and friends. If you are looking for a fun, family activitiy to play in your yard, consider Cornhole!

I love the simplicity of this game. Fun, fun, fun!
I've never heard of this. What region is it popular in? Sounds like a homemade game that someone decided to standardize and market. Of course, that doesn't negate the fun!
I've heard of this game but I never had any idea what it actually was or how it was played. Thank you for the information.
I've played something similiar and it is fun. I like that anyone can play this game! Thanks for sharing.
I remember making boards for this game as an outdoor type of circus in the neighborhood when I was younger. It is a lot of fun... especially with a group of competitive people!
we played this for the first time last summer at my aunt's. Every one in my family had a lot of fun. We are thinking of buying one for ourselves this summer
I want to play this-this sounds like way too much fun!!
I like the sound of this game. The whole family could have fun and it would be easy to store.
I hadn't heard of cornhole until I moved to Ohio, but you're right, its popularity is definitely spreading. I think it's a blast to play.
