First Blood First Rambo Movie By omegapandor on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The first Rambo movie, First Blood, is definitely one of the more unique 80s action classics. Rambo, a Vietnam Green Beret, comes home to an unwelcome atmosphere about his squad buddie's town. This review is for the Ultimate Edition DVD.

Story: First Blood has an excellent story, with only a few cheesy parts. Many would say it is least cheesy out of the Rambo classics. Not only is the action good, but Rambo is a portrayed as a real human being affected by horrors of the Vietnam conflict.

Video Quality: The Ultimate Edition DVD features remastered video, and it looks great.

Sound Quality: The remastered audio did not seem as improved as the video, but it did have good surround sound which is a major improvement over the VHS.

Conclusion: If you are an 80s action fan, First Blood Ultimate Edition belongs in your collection.
