First Meals Food Diary By CaseysMommy on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I had this book on my baby registry, and recieved it as a gift when my son was born. I decided to try making my own baby food for a few different reasons ; I know exactly what is going into his little tummy.. no added sugars or fillers, pesticides, etc.. better freshness, better variety, and you save money! This book has awesome ideas of different fruits, vegetables and meats that can be mixed together to make meals, and directions on how best to cook, puree, prepare and store different foods for your baby. It is a great guide with information on everything you need to know for introducing your baby to solid foods.. allergies, what foods are best to start with, and what to wait longer to introduce. It also includes a weekly meal planner for each age group that you can fill out.

It also has some cute ideas for meals for older children that I'll definatly try when my son gets a little older.

I reccomend this book if you're wanting to make your own baby food!
