First Security Bank In Arkansas By kristyh on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
We have been with First Security Bank for about 5 years now. We are actually looking around for a new bank. There are things I love/hate about this bank, but mostly hate. I would not recommend switching to this bank if you are happy with the one you have. If you do have this bank and you are happy that's great. My mom really likes this bank. Me and my husband are not fans.
The Good-
*Free Checking (except you have to buy the actual checks- we do not use them)
*Have online banking and free automatic bill pay
*Convienent hours- they are open Monday thru Friday and on Saturday until noon
*They have this coin counter in their lobby that will count your loose change to deposit into your account (no fees for this)
* They are convienent to our house
*The are everywhere here so you can always find one when you need on
The Bad-
*I wonder why they hire bad help. We have had 3 different checks deposited at 3 different locations on 3 seperate occassions get misplaced by the tellers. One of the times was on a weekend and I went to buy groceries and was declined.
* Once a ATM ate our debit card and for some unknown reason took two months to get a new one.
*They NEVER have deposit slips at the drive up windows. I have never seen any at any location.
*I asked for personal deposit slips and was informed I would have to buy them. Meaning we would have to buy the checks and we do not use checks
*Their online banking balance is not always accurate.
*For some unknown reason we are not able to access the telephone automated line- it is always messed up.
To me the benefits just do not outweigh the cons. I say if you are happy somewhere else stay where you are.

Good on you. If this country is going to have a stable economy, the "bad guys" need to be tagged with a big ol' "BG" on their foreheads.
