I have been an Ice Cube fan from way back, I was sorely disappointed in this film, not so much with his acting ability, but the script.

First off, I had the misconception that this was in the series of Friday and Next Friday, it is not, just so you know and are not let down like I was.

It is basically about a single father who has trouble keeping a job due to his background and faces the chance of his son and his mother having to move out of state due to financial reasons.

Durell, played by Ice Cube, falls for a gimmick his friend LeeJohn, played by Tracey Morgan, gets him into. Needless to say, everything goes wrong that can.

They decided to rob a church, and while holding the parishioners as hostages they learn a " valuable" lesson on life and the opportunities presented to them.

The movie had some good spots, but that was just it, spots only. It drug out and I kept waiting for it to pick up, it just never happened with this one.
