This MP3 player is perfect for little kids...especially curious kids that can tend to be clumsy....my daughter loves this player...she thinks it is just like mommy's and she even has a lot of the songs that I listen to loaded onto hers...It also comes with some nice size headphones that are perfect for delicate ears. Another nice feature is that it can be dropped many times and it still works...it is very "kid Tough" as they say. The downsides are that it can eat through batteries pretty quickly. Also if you want to add your own music you cannot add MP3 files...you can only add music that comes from CDs...so what I do is burn songs onto a cD then add them to the Fisher Price player. One other nice feature it has is you can download music from the Fisher Price website althought that can get expensive...but something neat is you can download stories for your child to listen to.
