Fisher-Price Laugh Learn Puppy
By Tina Lehman onThis adorable little puppy dog is a great gift idea for a baby as young as 6 months. It stands about a foot tall, and has buttons embedded in its ear, tummy and paws. There are different modes, so when these buttons are pressed the puppy will either sing songs (ABCs, 123s, parts of the body, and others) or say the part of the body or colors.
At 7 months, my son is too young to learn anything from the puppy, but he will crawl toward it and smile when his actions start the puppy to talking or singing. My 22 month old daughter, on the other hand, will start dancing and singing her ABCs along with the puppy. So, I can recommend this toy for a wide range of ages.
When the puppy sits for a while, it says "I want a hug," which can be a bit creepy if the toy is sitting on the floor and you are alone with it.Other than that, I would highly recommend it!

Awww, sounds fun. That is funny about the hug, just give it a big hug and it won't have to tell you too..lol!
What a cute toy! Learning and fun...great idea!
Oh wow, I am sooooooooooooooo looking forward to grandkids :D:D
This is so cute! I like that you can learn the abc song with this toy!
I have not seen this one in the stores but it actually sounds like a great gift for someone next time I have a small child to buy for. At 7 months you may not think they are learning anything from the puppy saying those things but you will be surprised at what they are relly picking up from the repitition alone.
Such a cute doggie and I love the picture of it with your son. This sounds like a nice educational fun toy for a first birthday gift. Thanks for sharing and giving some us with older children such wonderful ideas!!
This very cute. It certainly would grab the kid's attention which is important when they are trying to learn something. It makes them want to learn. Thanks for sharing this information about this cute educational toy.
I hate toys that turn on/off mode when its just me home too. LOL
We have this toy as well. My daughter is 2 and still enjoys it, same as your child she dances around to the music. Thankfully ours doesn't ask for a hug at random times, but we do have 2 other toys that if left on will do that. Creepy...
LOL! I would be creeped out if I heard that toy start talking all of a sudden, too. Glad both of your kids are able to enjoy it.
