I was not happy with this monitor at all. I purchased it because I needed a second monitor. I didn't spend very much on it, it's one of the cheaper monitors out there, and I got what I paid for. The monitor ALWAYS has static. No matter how quiet it is, I always hear static on the monitor. It is very annoying and makes it hard for me to sleep hearing that. It sucks down battery life very quickly! I was replacing the batteries constantly and it became a large expense. The range was not far at all, however I was always picking up neighbor's baby monitors. This made me wonder whether they were picking up my monitor as well, which could have been a scary thought. Bottom line, pay more for a better monitor!

Hmmm. this one sounds like a real loser.
I've heard both good & not so good about this monitor.
I hear you about the scary thought of neighbors picking up your monitor. I had a monitor that was picking up the neighbor's house. I quickly got rid of that one and brought a more expensive model!
