Fisher-Price Moo-Sical Piano-to-Xylophone
By dmk417 onThis is a perfect first xylophone for babies aged 12 months and over. It's colors catch babies attention, and they love to bang on anything they can get their hands on. I like that there are piano keys the child can touch to make the same sounds, as opposed to only a drumstick, which small children may not master right away, causing frustration. The tones of this toy are pleasant, and it isn't so loud that mom and dad want to hide it away. I would definately recommend this product to a friend, as we have been through several xylophones already in trying to encourage musicality in our child. This toy is not without flaws, though. The drumstick is on a string that is a little too short for still-developing hands, and the white brace that holds the keys on can get in the way of the shorter panels. As they grow, though, this should not be such a problem for kids, and it still has plenty of play value.
