Fisher Price Sing Along Stage
By xshellyx onI purchased this for my 1-year old daugter who loves music. She very quickly learned how to make the music and lights play and enjoys dancing to the sounds. The concept is great, sing and dance with the microphone in front of the mirrored surface, but it didn't quite work out that way.My 4 year old gets the concept but the toy is too short unless he sits, then the limited songs bore him after a few minutes. My 1 year old still likes the lights and sounds but only for a minute here and there. She's much more interested in carrying around the microphone and chewing on it or hitting it against something than singing. It's hard to get a toddler to sit and play with any toy for more than a minute or two and this one is no exception. It does have a limited number of song choices but it is easy for toddlers to use and enjoy, whether or not it holds their attention for very long.

This looks like fun...it sucks when you have to grow up & dont' have the fun toys to play with anymore ;)
Keeping a one year old occupied is certainly an age-old mystery! I think it's designed as a test of patience for the parents!
I bet in a few more months your one year old will play more with the stage & incorporate the microphone that she loves!!!
Love that concept : sing and dance with the microphone in front of the mirrored surface. Great feature there.
Nice concept there:make music, lights play and dancing to the sounds. Maybe they should have corporated more songs and music to keep kids occupied for longer period of time.
well, I guess you daughter can grow into this too. I agree at her age, she has to keep moving. I bet alot of the time its to fight sleep; )
Great gift idea.
