Fiskars Rates For Light Metal Work By Rj Higgins on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Fiskars Beading Snip for Heavy Duty Cutting proves itself equal to it's name. Features include serrated edges on the 1 1/2 " blades to hold wire in place while cutting and an oversized rivet which adds an amazingly accurate cut by eliminating the gap that commonly forms between rivet and blade when used with tough materials. I have used my Fiskars Beading Snips repeatedly over several months to cut tin, copper and aluminum for my metal arts projects with no obvious wear or lessening of cutting quality. It leaves a perfect edge on my metal, requiring no filing, saving me hours of work. I've also used the Beading Snips to cut thread, fabric, felt, and, of course, use them for all my wire snipping needs for beading and jewelry-making projects. The small size (5 ") is convenient for home or travel, while the grip remains a comfortable and generous size.

That is the only brand I buy when I get school supplies.
