Fiskars Student Scissors By Karen on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

My husband and I have about two pair of Fiskars Student scissors around the house, one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen. These scissors are pretty decent considering that they are relatively inexpensive.

Fiskars Student scissors have 6 inch stainless steel blades and have a plastic handle. The handle can break if you cut something heavier than the scissors are meant to cut. We had a third pair of these scissors but my brother-in-law tried cutting very heavy cardboard with them, and the handle broke. But other than that incident, these scissors have held up very well. They cut cleanly, and in all the time that we have used them, I have not noticed the blades getting noticeably duller. They cut through paper easily, and I have also used them to cut through plastic packaging without any problems.

If you are looking for an inexpensive pair of scissors for average cutting needs, I would recommend Fiskars Student Scissors.
