Reviewing: Fleet Pedia Lax Liquid Glycerin Suppositories
Purchased at: Rite Aid     Price: $6.99 USD

Recently, we figured out that it had been way too many days since my five year old had had a bowel movement. She has had chronic constipation since she was little so we work hard to manage it through her diet. However, sometimes she needs a little more help.

In looking for a safe, pediatric laxative I found Fleet Pedia-Lax liquid glycerin suppositories. Suppositories had never worked well for my daughter, but these looked different enough for me to try them.

Each box contains six bulbs filled with Fleet glycerin solution. The part that is inserted into the rectum is about an inch and a half long and is capped. Before use, simply remove the cap, insert it and squeeze out the contents. We did this and, sure enough, within five minutes my daughter found relief. My daughter felt a little discomfort when I inserted it, but when I asked her she assured me it was just weird and not painful.

The only drawback I found was the suppositories were a little expensive, but at about a dollar each they are certainly worth it. It would also be nice to have the option purchase them in quantities fewer than six; we do not use that many.

Overall, I highly recommend Fleet Pedia-Lax glycerin suppositories. They are easy to use, and completely mess-free.
