For my daughters recent birthday we had a terrible time trying to find the right invitations and party supplies. We knew she wanted to have a tropical theme party but at the same time it had to be girly too. We decided it would be best to find invitations first and then build on the theme from there. We searched stores and the net and found the perfect ones at Buycostumes.com.
They are not your usual square or rectangular shaped invitations. They are actually cut out in the shape of a pair of brightly colored flip flops with the word party written on top. The back of the invitations features printed party information such as date and time, followed by a line to fill in all the details and personalize it to your party. They measure approximately 6 1/4 by 4 1/2 and are printed on a heavy, glossy card stock and come with a matching envelope. A word of caution here, since the paper has a glossy finish to it, use a ball point pen or be very careful to let the ink dry completely or it will smear. My daughter used a gel pen on it and then ran her hand over and made a huge mess out of one of them.
In addition to the invitations, we were also able to order all the matching party paper goods and favors too so everything coordinated perfectly.
The pictures I have included sow the invitations, the matching papergoods and the table set up for the party.
