Fluxx Fluxx Review By PDCD on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Fluxx is a clever card game from award winning Looney Labs. Arguably their most famous, award winning, and best selling card game, Fluxx is extremely simple and loads of fun as the rules are always changing.

Fluxx is just a single deck of 84 cards with the starting rule "draw one, play one". After a "goal" card has been played, then anyone who meets that goal at any time during the game is the winner. "Keeper" cards can be played and are used to meet most goals. The real fun of the game comes from the constant warping of the rules that force people to give up keepers, discard their entire hand, reverse turn order, draw multiple or play multiple cards. At any time a new goal can be played as well, so it's not easy to shoot for one particular end game scenario.

Fluxx is a lot of fun and although it can be played with as few as two people, it's really ideal for 3 to 5 people -- too many people and it can be a long time between turns. There are a variety of Fluxx variants, including some that let you make your own cards, but the original Fluxx is still a lot of fun.
