Flying Kangaroo

As I have told you before, I am a transplant to Australia.When I came over from the states I was very apprehensive. I was leaving behind all my family, and I had just put all my possessions on " a slow boat". Here I am on this huge jet plane trying to calm down and reassure my son it will be ok, and the most friendly flight attendant came up and and I got the typical Aussie accent " G'day". All the attendants on the ground and in the air were so friendly and attentive I was so amazed. We were offered many immenties such as in flight movies, books, compression socks and a sleep mask along with the customary pillow and blanket. I promise you I appricated the comforts during a 14 hour flight. I flew from L.A. to Sydney to Melbourne and I was made very comfortable. Over here when you look up and see the bright red tail you feel a sense of pride to be an Aussie......it is a national icon. The Flying Kangroo.
