Reviewing: Focusrite Saffire Pro 10 I/O
Purchased at: Tom Lee Music     Price: $600.00 CAD

I couldn't find the category for this unit and have filed it under home audio for lack of a better category. The Focusrite digital to audio converter is what I ended up using for my homestudio.I want to make things very clear: it sounds fantastic. However, this hardware is a bit fussy to work with, has a really poorly written user manual for a product that has so much functionality in its interface.I also faced some issues with Apples 10.4 update which crashed the Focusrite software.I still don't have the monitoring as sussed out as I would like but I am getting such good recorded sounds that I am largely appeased. I should also share that I have had to do a few hard shut downs with it to get it linked with the music recording software which I am using.I appreciate that Mac doesn't own Focusrite so there is bound to be some issues.I hear that Mac owns some of the other companies who make audio/digital converters and if these units sounds as good as the focusrite, they might be worth considering.Great sounding but a bit frustrating at times to tune in...
