Food Wine Magazine By Debbie831 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I am not a huge fan of magazines but I got to try this one for 6 months for free. I was hoping it would have a lot of good receipes in that I could try. It does have some receipes but I am not that impressed with the content of this magazine. Even though I am not much of a wine drinker I was hoping for little more from this magazine as far as facts on wine, and what wine to drink with what food. I honestly believe that at least 3/4's of the magazine if adverstisment and they don't share much in the way of receipes or ideas for serving. I did enjoy some of the articles and the few receipes in it werre very good. I wouldn't pay to subscribe to this magazine but if you get the chance to have a free 6 months or so it might be worth taking a look at.

It seems like magazines are so full of ads and not much content. It's sometimes hard to find one you really like. Glad yours was a free trial.

I have found that most , if not all, of the very high end (expensive magazines) have to depend on lots of high paying advertizers. It makes for a lousy magazine in my opinion. Give me a Good Housekeeping any day!

What a let down that it was so filled with advertisements and not the focus of the magazine. I'd be disappointed too!
