Footloose A Fun Movie By Karen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Footloose is a fun, toe-tapping movie starring Kevin Bacon, Lori Singer, Dianne Wiest and John Lithgow.

Kevin Bacon plays the role of Ren McCormick, a big-city kid who finds himself in a small town. When he learns that the minister of this town does not approve of dancing, he does not take too kindly to the news. Ren decides to prove to everyone that there is nothing wrong with dancing and having fun, and we get to experience firsthand what Ren's efforts bring about.

There is some really good music in this film, including Deniece Williams' "Let's Hear It for the Boy", as well as some good dance routines. The movie is one of your sit back, relax and enjoy films, and I really got a kick out of watching it. The total run time is 107 minutes and the rating is PG.

Oh, by the way, there are some special features too, but mostly just subtitles and surround sound.

If you are looking for a feel good movie, I think that you would find Footloose fits the bill nicely.
