I happened upon this lucite cube of cards that advertised itself as a fun conversation starter. The cube measures 4" square and contains cards with questions on them to be used as conversation starters. I bought the Table Topic Family Edition on a whim at Christmas time and pulled it out on our annual holiday trek up to Michigan to see the relatives.
My two sons, aged 20 and 22 were traveling with us and said the game sounded interesting so we took turns reading the questions and answering them. Some of the questions inspired long thought provoking answers that took each of us a great deal of time to answer, others were a one or two word answer which made the game interesting.
The lucite cube is well made and attractive enough to leave out on a table, thus the name Table Topics. The game comes in seven different editions some of which are Teen, Girls Night Out, Spirit, Couples, Travel and Original as well as the Family edition. There are also Table Topics To Go which contain 40 cards and are portable and cost around $9 rather than the $25 for the full cube.
This game was terrific for our family who love to talk, but would also be great for families who have problems communicating enabling them to communicate with each other while having fun. This would be a great icebreaker game for groups that need to go beyond learning names and faces.
Never thought about that but this would be a great icebreaker. I am thinking of purchasing the couples version to take on a vacation with friends in August.

An excellent idea. This is perfect for get togethers with family and friends we haven't seen in a long time.... would help break the ice, and get us talking again.

Neat idea. Sounds like it would be good for a dinner party where you might be seated withsomone you might not have much in common with. Good way to get you talking.

Sounds great for any type of gathering you want people to mingle
