Reviewing: Schering Plough Healthcare Products Miralax
Purchased at: Local Drug Store     Price: $6.09 USD

I recently had some major surgery and was on pain medication for little while. As usual, after taking the pain medication I was having some problems going to the bathroom. My doctor kindly told me to go to the drug store and buy this over the counter laxative called Miralax.Boy was I glad.

This laxative was formerly a prescription only medication which only recently became available over the counter. It is a very effective and fast product. It says on the label that it works in 1 to 3 days and it really did. And I didn't have the stomache aches and other awful side effects that sometimes come with a laxative.

It is in powder form and you have to mix it in 8 ounces of liquid. You can mix it in a liquid of your choice. It really doesn't have any flavor or texture.I mixed it in plain water a couple of times and it wasn't bad tasting at all.

I hope that I wouldn't have this problem again, but if I did, I would definitely use Miralax again. It produced fast and painless results for me.

Miralax, my daughter takes this daily. It really is gentle on your body and seems to have no side effects.

I have this problem when I have to take muscle relaxers for my back... Most of the laxatives I've tried are too harsh... Maybe I'll try this the next time I am faced with the problem...

Glad it worked for you. It is great to have on hand, for those just in cases. Thanks for the info.

My ob said it was perfectly safe during pregnancy. But you may want to ask your own ob what he/she thinks.
