For those with sophisticated tastes in music

This saturday I was doing a little shopping at our local bookstore when I saw this CD: Wrapped in a Dream by Spyro Gyra in the Jazz section. I bought it. No, I didn't even think of the gas prices or how I would pay for this luxury item. I just bought it. Why?

Well, my husband first introduced me to Spyro Gyra in the early 1990s. I love to listen to old R&B and Jazz. My college roomate introduced me to New Orleans Jazz in the 1980s. So I may not be able to list my favorite artists, but I do know my favorite sounds. And Spyro Gyra plays the sound for the Jazz enthusiast.

Just a note Spyro Gyra is not really a group. They ask several different artists to play the music. It is more a rap session... and yes, it is like sitting at the corner bar, listening to a group of jazz muscicians play. We live in the artist/musician capital of Nevada. So the fun part of summer is sitting on the grass at the Capitol building, listening to the artists perform.

This CD: Wrappped in a Dream does not disappoint. It is as good as the first CD. I would buy it again. And, I will be looking for more of their music when I have a little more pocket money.

So if you want to enjoy that sophisticated Jazz sound, I suggest that you listen to Spyro Gyra.
