Ford Explorers
By John Barrey onThe ford explorers are very reliable, but when they need to be repaired they are a pain. And most of the time its very costly to fix them unless you can do the labor yourself. I had once replaced the transfer case in the explorer and Ford places it right in front of the transmission, so you have to take out the whole transmission which was a big pain and it killed my back. But beside that the Ford Explorer is a very good choice to pick. I'm not going to say it is the best but I would say it not a bad vehicle when it is repaired. Can you believe I had rolled this explorer over and it is still running. I had to pound the roof back out but it is still runs. After all the damage I did to it, it still starts up when I turned the key. A year I had did the body work hoping to sell it but than had second thoughts and decide to keep it. It did have fog lights in the front but the bumper with fog lights was a bit more expensive so I decide to buy the cheaper bumper without fogs lights. Overall I would recommend this vehicle to anyone especially first time drivers, nice ride, looks good, not bad on gas, and handles very decent in any type of weather as long a you have proper tires.
