My very first car was a Ford and after that experience I vowed to myself I would never again purchase a Ford car. But after 8 years or so of owning a VWFox, the horrible memories faded and my retired USMC dad talked me into giving the good ol' US of A company another shot. So, I did. And I regreted it for the next 5 years of my life! By the time I sold the piece of crap I had broken down more times that I care remember. My son, now 8, still recalls our experiences at the side of the road when he was just 3! Since I live in a semi rural area, often there is no phone reception (or wasn't at that time anyway) between my work and home. Once an old man picked us up in his truck in the pouring rain when our car broke down and another time some sweet family man called his wife to come pick us up and carry us into town at dark on the side of the road after waiting for 2 hours for a tow truck that he went and called at a pay phone! The transmission broke, the speedometer, radiator, etc, etc, etc. And all just about the time the car was paid for! It was a lemon:0( Sure it's a cute car, but is it really worth the aggrevation?
