I'm sick and tired of having to spend hundreds of dollars a year on batteries for all the electronic gadget I have! So gave in and decided to buy a "Shake flashlight". The way it works is that as the light is shaken, a magnet passes through a metal coil generating electricity. The energy is then stored in a capacitor. A 20 second shake gives you light for an astonishing 30 minutes! It has an unbreakable LED, so you don't ever have to worry about replacing a bulb. The LED will illuminate a 6 foot radius at 30 feet away. The flashlight is housed in a shatterproof, and waterproof clear case, so you can see how the flashlight works. It is said to be operational at even the most extreme temperatures, but I haven't tested that feature yet. The one that I bought is even backed by a free 1-year warranty.
