Frabill Trout Net By Scott Parizo on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Last weekend I was camping and fishing in the river where I caught a Rainbow Trout and I lost it as I was picking it up out of the water by the line, it ripped through the trout's mouth. I decided to go to Midstate Sports store in Middlebury VT where I found a Frabill Trout Net. This net has a micro-nylon netting and fish friendly for catch and release applications. The size of the net is 11x15 and comes with a padded handle with a stretching lanyard with a clip that can attach to a belt or fishermans vest. I used this net the next day and landed 2 more rainbow trout and 2 Shiners. I found that it was easy to carry with the stretchable lanyard which i just wore it around my neck or arm. this net was reasonably priced at 19.99.

I love trout fishing and really like using a net, because many of the trout we catch are below size or too young. So the net is a humane way to save a life and send it back in the wild.
