Nestled in Frankenmuth Michigan is the world renowned Frankenmuth Brewery. Established in 1862, this brewery has built its tradition on bringing fine taste and service. The World beer expo is held here each May and offers samples and discounts on several different kinds of brews. What makes this brewery unique is that they have their own microbrewery right on site, one of only three in Michigan. Also on site is a restaurant which specializes in fine European dining. The Frankenmuth Brewery goes down in history with obtaining a national award in 1989 at the Great American Beer Festival. The Frankenmuth Old German dark took the highest vote for Americas best dark beer and won the Gold medal in that category. The German Style Bock took the Silver metal in second place. Their beer is smooth and they offer a variety of flavors sure to please the most discriminating beer connoisseur.
