Free And Sensitive Downy By Cyn Bagley on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Honestly, I am a second generation Downey fabric softener user. My mother started using Downy fabric softener when she found that her dress didn't stick to her nylons after using this product. I continued on because I liked the smell.

But a few years ago, when I came down with my illness I found that I could not use any washing powder, liquid, or fabric softener that had fragrance in it. Because my immune system had to be suppressed, these fragrances would cause welts on my back and stomach. It was quite a learning experience.

When I realized that it was the washing liquid and fabric softener causing my problem, I looked around for something that would be good for sensitive skin. Actually, there were not very many products that were non-allergenic. However last year, (or it could be later) Downy came out with a free and sensitive product. I was estatic. I could go back to my favorite softener.

So I was washing my clothes today and poured in Free & Sensitive Ultra Downy. And yes, they came out of the dryer soft and nice. It reminded me of my childhood days when I would take the clothes out of the dryer and hug them.
