Free Long Distance With Cable Phone By Gail Ikerd on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Like everyone else - I don't like having to pay more than I have to for any given service. When the local cable comapany - Time Warner started to offer phone plans I checked it out. For what I was paying at AT&T I could now have all the features I want including caller ID, caller ID waiting, call waiting, call forwarding and for a small extra charge voice mail. My son is in the Army stationed in Alaska and I live in Ohio so I was spending a lot each month on long distance charges. I can now call and talk for as long as I like and it doesn't cost me a penny. Since having my phone service switched to Time Warner - I estimate that I have saved at least $400.00 in long distance charges in the last year. It is so nice to be able to just pick up the phone and call my family and friends without worring about having a large phone bill. I have experienced no problems with my cable phone. I love it and can't ever imagine switching back to AT&T. If you have the opportunity to get connected to cable phone I highly recommend it.

Good for you that you found something great to keep in touch with your son. I love that feature of this plan! I think you found a winner!
