At my bedside there is always a bottle of Vicks VapoRub. This comes in very handy when colds strikes me at night. The blocked nose during that colds attack, is enough to make me turn and toss for the whole night, then VICKS VAPORUB is the answer.

Pros: Vicks VapoRub is very easy to use. Open that blue plastic container, the strong menthol smell is a big relieve to the blocked nose. What I do is, rub that gooey sticky white ointment on my chest and my back . Then I will wear some thick clothing to keep the menthol vapour inside my clothings. Another method which I also use is inhalation method. This is done by melting 2 teaspoons of VapoRub in very hot water, then inhale in the soothing menthol vapour. The vapour will clear and relieve my blocked nose fast and effectively. This is indeed a good medication to use when I have colds and it really helps me to get my sleep. It is fast acting and inexpensive way to clear that nasty nose blocked.

Cons: The ointment can be very greasy and stain clothings. Of course it is not a cure-all but it really does relieve.
