French Doors, Eu La La By Brandy Norton on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Back, a few years ago, we decided to add on to our house. Our two kids had to share a room, and the oldest was needing her space. Plus, all those two do when they are together is fight. So, we added a dinning room and along with the extra room.
We thought while we are borrowing the money, we should go ahead and get everything that we want.
I have always loved the look of french doors, so I knew when we were in the planning stages, that's what I'm getting.
My mother and I went to Lowe's to find the doors I wanted. And they had a lot to choice from. There was some with blinds built-in the windows and had the energy stars. I would have loved to have had those, but the cost difference was crazy.
I am very practical when it comes to money. If something is pretty, cheaper, does the same thing, and pretty much, looks the same, that's what I am going for.
The doors I picked out are made of steel and open to the inside. They have the insulated glass, but I don't think they have the energy star,(wish they did). They are six foot doors and help put a lot of light into my dinning room. Both doors open so if something big has to be moved out or moved in, these are the doors we use.
I am not exact on the $170. That is a guess because it has been so long since I bought them. But, I think that is a pretty good estimate.
I love having these doors in my home. My dinning room would not be the same without them.
NOTE: The only picture I have right now of these doors, is this one, with my dog as a puppy looking sad wanting in, sorry.
The doors have a limited life time warranty.
